# Create a call

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer <token>`, where token is your auth token.

## Request

### Body (application/json)

This endpoint expects a call.

- `phone_number` (string, required) — The callee's phone number in E.164 format - Used to place the call to the right recipient.
- `agent_id` (string, required) — The ID of the agent that should handle the call - Used to route the call to the correct agent.
- `context` (map from string to string, optional) — The call context - Used to give the agent contextual variables for a personalized experience.
- `timezone` (string, optional) — The callee's time zone - Used to apply scheduling rules using the recipient's local time.
